Takes a few minutes but nothing too long (not sure this is even necessary but I did it anyway). What I did was copy the Toontrack folder and paste it in the VstPlugin folder on my PC. I was able to get the file to load in the Reaper Media Explorer view from the original installation folder that wasn't contained in the VstPlugins folder, however, this will not work in Reaper even though everything looks good. My Toontrack folder (what EZDrummer gets installed in) was not in this path nor was it called out in Preferences under the VST Plugin field. Also make sure that a COPY of the ezdrummer.dll file is in whatever directory you use for your other VST's, but that the full ezdrummer is to its own directory on your C drive. EZD will definately have issues if it is not properly registered and up to date.

Sorry to be so basic but from what you have written I have no idea what "does not work" means.īefore you write back, check that you have uploaded the very latest patches from Toontrack and that your registration is current. Have you successfully recorded any other tracks with Reaper (audio or midi)? When you drag a clip to Reaper will it play? If you can open it up can you play the samples in the grooves in EZD? When you click on a drum can you hear the sound thru your speakers? Can you please be more specific.Ĭan you open Dfh Sampler in the FX chain dialog (so you see the drumkit)? I'm not really sure exactly what the problem is. I'll try to help, I use EZD all the time and totally love it (I have the Vintage and Drum Kit From Hell expansions as well). I am so frustrated and I'm about to give up on Reaper which is really unfortunate.

Double click in the left area to start a new track. Go into the main Reaper folder, probably under program files in your C drive. I also tried this: Right-click on the ezdrummer.
